He’s in love with her. He admits to it early on and he’s the first to fall (or is open about it) out of all three. I agree with other comments: it is NTR in the guise of the mc having no choice but to bed multiple men due to her curse from the main antagonist. The poly in this story is poorly constructed, so it would be best not to take it too seriously.
