I'm worried abt that too haha. But storytelling wise it wouldn't be the smartest choice to repeat the scenario of chapter 16, I mean like how annoying would it be for us readers if the season ended with a such a setback in character and story developement? And I believe paskim doesn't usually disappoint their readers like that, so I'm putting all my hopes in their ability to surprise us haha. I have faith in authornim

Well, you know, set backs happen, B. Obviously, he's come a long way, yes; however, human development isn't just a linear path. It's more like a scatter chart, you know?
Right now, as I see it, Cirrus tends to get blind sided by rage, and as we've seen it, there are four factors that have influenced those bouts of rage: Jisoo, Cirrus' father (whose name I always forget), Candy, and lastly Skylar. We saw it a couple chapters ago as well, after the anniversary of Cirrus' mom. Though, granted, we do see AFTER the fact that he omits to his mistake. As I see it, right now, his father has given Cirrus the harsh reality that he'll never be what Cirrus wants again, he's absolutely hurt and angry.
So, maybe I'm wrong about what will happen, it's possible because you're right he's shown a massive amount of self improvement... but as I mentioned before, the human psyche isn't as straight forward as we'd like to believe, he's lived with his mindset for like years. He's a an eye for an eye type of guy, I'm not sure if that's something does goes away so soon DESPITE his improvements. But if I'm wrong (and hopefully I am) then I'll be back here to eat my words. Just my thoughts on the matter...

I agree with this. But...I haven't seen much development from Cirrus. The author shows us why he is the way he is but there's no solution...yet. I feel like the only reason he seems "better" is because he's trying to rope Skylar in more and more. The guys got tactics and tricks up his sleeve just like a sociopath would.
I peeped the raws. I have many theories. Maybe I'm wrong too! But, I don't think we're getting any fluff any time soon. It would just be weird for the author to go that route after showing us all that angst.

I hear you man. I would argue that he HAS shown some improvement though. Sure, it started off as Cirrus realizing that Skylar responds best to kindness and not black mail; however, if you think about it, his mindset is now geared towards a genuine connection to Skylar. You COULD argue that it's obsession though, which is keeping him subdued to a certain degree. BUT *SPOILER* in the previous chapter of the raws, he tells Skylar that, while it'll hurt Cirrus, he wants Skylar to know that he'll let him go of that's what Skylar wants. Isn't that one of the most massive self improvements for Cirrus (someone who has never let go of what he considers as his)?
*SPOILER*
For those who don't know, on the last raws, Cirrus' dad beats him outside of school and tells Cirrus he has to apologize to Jisoo. Then Cirrus meets up with Skylar. He thens asks if Skylar is free on the weekend and if so to meet him at Cirrus' house.

*SPOILER* Sadly, Paskim has a knack for cliff hangers/time junps so his response is not seen. They just fall asleep after, but in the raws after that he just thinks to himself how even though he wanted to keep his distance from CIrrus at first, he can't keep from worrying about him and inserting himself in Cirrus' problems.
But anyways, to answer what you last said, It's still up in the air though. We won't know for sure until next Friday. It could go either way, though I'm hoping it goes towards the positive side.
There's a discord server where we talk about those trans. It's here if you'd like:

But anyways here's to hoping Cirrus is actually not gonna do what we think he might.
Skylar RUN
*SPOILER*
Cirrus is def gonna pull a chapter 16 but with his dad this time.
