Colorism leads to racism towards a race darker than them and also internalized racism towards their own race. However, I also think that the perspective of colorism being *solely* founded in racism is seen from a Western standpoint. It's evident that this isn't the case for all communities. For some it’s more about social class. But even then, having colorist views will lead toward racism. I’m not denying that. Anyways, sorry about misunderstanding ur point. Have a great day.

Okay, I wrote a reply but it’s not showing up. I’m and too lazy to write all that again. In short, I commented that I get what ur saying and agree with it. I think I misunderstood your earlier comment. Sorry about that. I do agree it can be rooted in racism but I gotta add that it’s not the only factor. In some communities it’s both racism and classism. And yeah I agree that colorist views leads to internalized racism toward ur own community.
