Yes there is definitely manipulation from the new guy. Both emotionally and of the supernatural kind. But in his defense, he is clearly not human, so he doesn't know how to act like one. It's like expecting a child to fully understand the nuances and complexities of love. That takes experience. But to me, he seems like he is at least willing to learn so that he can be with the uke. The other guy is just a selfish jerk.

I have NEVER liked the grey haired dude. From the very beginning he was a jerk to the uke. He liked him in his own way but he treated him like his dirty little secret. He would be rough with him when they slept together. He basically treated the uke like he was a loser who was lucky to even have his attention.
