I did read all that and I AGREE. their basically nonexistent and lackluster ‘chemistry’ aside, the ML feels so irredeemable I can’t believe there’s only 42 chapters. From this chapter alone we see the ML is all “me,me, me, waahhh you Didn’t answer my calls, waaa you’re drinking with ur friend that u crushed on waaa my life is so sad I’ve been wronged so much waaa” little piss baby. No apology, no understanding, just whining and shifting the blame

Bro why ya he acting like he’s in love with mc. Like, this is literally the same guy that in like every other chapter was like “oh I don’t actually like him” while looking out the window like a pretentious prick.
Like, WEVE SEEN HIS THOUGHTS. There’s no fucking way he’s in love with mc rn, and it seems to fast for him to be like “oh i only realized how much I loved you when I lost you.”
Like, they didn’t even have that much chemistry. All they did was sleep together and the only moments that seemed as though they could be making a connection was because he was acting like “the perfect boyfriend.” Like, he wasn’t even being himself, so there’s no fucking way ml is in love with mc. He even says shit about how he doesn’t actually love him and it’s all an act, every single fucking time mc reveals something about his past and ml “comforts” him. Like, there was nothing that hinted the ml was in love with mc. Unless the author is trying to force a narrative rn.
Even when he revealed the bet, he didn’t even seem hesitant to tell the girl that “he won the bet.” Like, it just feels like that fucker is mad and sad cause he couldn’t break off the relationship on HIS terms.
Even if he did love mc, he should’ve just called off the bet then and there. Like what was he expecting? To win the bet and continue dating mc? Like, naw, that’s so fucking dumb, and you can’t be acting like he suddenly likes mc. I was expecting more angst and shit after the reveal, that’s why I read this, hoping ml will suffer for a lot of chapters. But like this most recent chapter just feels like the author hamfisting in a “he was in love with him this whole time” without any of the development to support that.
At least give us a chapter of him suffering and going through his perspective, to at least give us a reason why he suddenly is in love with mc. Like, just because he kept trying to contact mc doesn’t show why he’s in love with him. All it shows is that he’s a desperate creep for no reason, when he was the one that tricked mc. Like, actually fuck him. Again, it just seems like he’s pissy cause mc was the one that ended it, and not him.
I just want his brother to disown him and mc to never contact him again. Like, he doesn’t deserve anybody that makes him happy in life, and you can’t be trying to actually develop a romance that was never there or even hinted at being there.
I was expecting a lot more after the big reveal, but going by the latest chapter, I feel like my expectations are being completely disappointed.
