I so agree with you there. I think the author was going for a soft puppy like male lead but all I can see is a male lead with an empty head. How had he lead the military, may I ask? The fact that he's pretty beyond salvation may be the only redeeming quality of him. And the fact that he stupidly listens to female lead.
Say, do you hate the fl? Cause I don't. Infact, I really really like her character however she's a bit naive in the beginning. She could've just wished that no one can harm the empire or just wished for that woman to disappear.
