Do you have trouble making long eye contact or do you just stutter or get fidgety while meeting people? 'Cause only serial killer male long prolonged eye contact and only narcissistic people mind it a little too much when you don't give them your full attention in eveey comversatjon lol. So you might have met up with one of them. Talking to strangers is like a skill, you get better at it the more practice and effort you put into it. Don't sweat it, that's just one asshole. The world is full of them, so brace yourself and equip yourself with a great arsenal of social skills with practice.
I somehow feel for the mc. It might not be the same situation, but i get severe anxiety looking at ppls faces and reactions for too long. Especially when they talk to me. I have that one expreience where i just got to know this person and they asked me why I'm like this and their expression looks like they're weirded out by me. And it took all of my will not to spiral infront of this person.
