You’re right but I don’t think the mc had a thing for people who mistreated him, I think he made them that way with the love bombing and shit cus the red haired dude wasn’t like that until after he started dating the mc that he became crazy toxic and mc enjoyed watching him suffer he admitted to that and also with the other dude he ended up with then he realized he was the problem but then the dude was also problematic
SPOILERS below:- This story wasn't bad. But imo it wasn't realistic on how some people are portraying it to be. There are some realistic elements that's all. Both the characters are TRASH & problematic. They need to go to therapy together. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
The seme has a facade around everyone except the Uke. He initially exploits the Uke's feelings, engaging in manipulation, emotional abuse, and taking advantage of him. This mistreatment continues even after they start dating. Notably, he brings another girl over, kisses her to provoke a reaction from the Uke (which is considered cheating to me), and also goes to the extent of leaking private photos to manipulate the Uke.
On the other hand, Uke has a pattern of developing feelings for individuals who mistreat him, but he tends to lose interest once they start to genuinely care for him. He sees people he's interested in as a conquest or a prize to be won, deriving satisfaction from their affection but also feeling repelled by it when it's reciprocated. Uke has a complex relationship pattern characterized by a cycle of attraction and detachment. He's not a saint either & he acknowledges that.
In a real-life scenario, their relationship would be undeniably toxic, marked by mutual mistreatment and manipulation. They both engage in harmful behavior, making it difficult to judge who is worse. It would've been better if they didn't end up together. I would've enjoyed it more making it more realistic.
They decided to start over after all that toxic shenanigans as if that'd work in real life scenario but this is FICTION. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
ON CONCLUSION, they're both F*CKED UP & they're gonna be licking each other's wounds. So maybe their dynamic/relationship works for them.
