I'm no expert but I think the point is you're supposed to dislike him if you do like him, then you do you, but don't be surprised when an unlikable character is being disliked. This just means his character is well written for its purpose, to piss people tf off. I'm more surprised people insist on liking unlikable characters. Like you dont got to like every character in every story. Some characters purpose is to be unlikable, that's just facts.
