The comments were taken away along with report button and contact buttons because of a massive raid from legal readers years ago. They spammed the topics with warning and threats, spammed mangago's reports with copyright claims etc. They also spammed people's dms and dashboards.
It was so bad that it crashed servers. Similar to DDOS.

Reading a story where you don't like the MC is extremely common, as I said some stories are even written with the purpose of making readers hate the MC. some authors hate their own MC...
People aren't necessarily supposed to like the MC 'cause that's not something they choose. They're supposed to lack the type of stories that they pick , which I like.
