He could have definitely worded things better, but at the root he isn't wrong, (is he dumb for throwing his life away for a person who might not even pick him, yea, but does he deserve to at least have that option and talk about it with his love interest, yes)
Everyone deserves to follow what makes them happy, and if thats living with the MC, let him be (although ure happiness shouldn't come from one person but this is fiction so wtv)
Also, why yall acting like this dog thing is new??? They quite literally stated that when they 1st introduced him, very little new info was presented here
