The way she’s reacting is the realest rn. The amount of trauma he’s caused her intentionally or unintentionally is just too much. Sometime its too late to regret and wallow in guilt and that’s exactly the position adult-Rutger is in rn. Really hope we get to see more into the way he behaved in the first life towards her,, right now even with his suffering it doesn’t excuse the way he treated her (at least not enough to sympathize and forget about the revenge arc)
Yes! You articulated my thoughts perfectly. the only difference between her life with rutger and her parents was that rutger loved her (which she didn’t know) so he never sexually abused her like her father did to her mother.
Plus, the fact that she went back to the original timeline and met OGrutger tells me that there’s a possible scene in the future chapters where we get to see rutger apologize and grovel. But I think that this scene serves as nothing else more than closure for her. Honestly, id like to see her meet someone new so that she’s able to break away from all the trauma she’s suffered. Her revenge is to clear out her old regrets and a new ML would serve as a blank canvas for her new life. But I think she and rutger are end game due to the fact that he was the only she had loved. And due to novel cliches. Anyway, I need a serious apology and groveling episode from OGrutger before I will bedgrudgingly get on their ship.
I don't understand how some of y'all are mad that she is pushing the ml away.
Yeah he might be a child that did nothing to her in this timeline but the original timeline was so worse.
Only she knows how much she suffered in full details. She was almost like a slave, being sold and discarded again and again.
Remember that She spent many years with Rutger and not once have he tried to speak to her. I know it's because he suffered from all that abuse because we are the reader but how could she have known?? She was just naive woman who only wanted some love from the man she loved.
She spent many more years in her original timeline than the current timeline. Of course she is bound to be scared and hurt by him every time she look at little him. Her mind cannot differentiate because to her he is still him. She has all the right to push him away. How could y'all say she shouldn't push him always when you know damn well how much she suffered. She deserves to be at peace. If pushing him away and not wanting to speaking to him makes her at peace then she should do so.
We as readers have different perspective on Rutger. We know how sad Rutger looked and had a bit of a hunch that he really loved her from his reaction because it's common in manhwa's we're reading. But FL has not read that kind of things. She doesn't even know what being loved felt like. She is different from us who knows who she's gonna end up with.
So I ask you all to read and understand this not only as readers but from her perspective too. Try to sympathize with her. She deserves being understood too.
