yup, if you know the mangaka then it's pretty obvious that yaribu is supposed to be a parody of BL, with all these stereotypes and weird sex situations. It's supposed to be over the top and ridiculous. You can tell that the mangaka isn't a newbie, since, even in this parody-like-setting, yaribu has a lot of charms.

True true ! I haven’t read their other works but by the covers I can judge and I just know this mangaka knows what they’re doing. Yaribu really is a great manga, I really like how how it’s not just smooth going romance type of manga where the characters have doki doki ba-dump and realise they’re gay for a person like.. that’s weird. This manga actually shows a rather realistic way of the 3 young high schoolers and their struggle to cope with their sexuality.. like it’s interesting. And I f you have read harada’s works you see there’s comedy, weird concepts, a slight bit of darkness in the corners. But their audience enjoys it because of how nicely the stories are written. And I just love how this mangaka does the same but more in their way by using comedy and I’m sure their audience likes it which is cool! (I hope this makes sense lol)
I read this long ago and goddamn there is so so much going on this comment section like. Bad.. death threats and more stuff. I think some people don’t understand that some people such as me.. we’re not here for the sex man.. like if you actually focus on the storytelling it’s great !!! But at the same time there’s a lot of comedy meaning the author probably was goofing around and likely made this for fun. This story has its ups and downs and it’s pretty cool. If you read the mangaka’s other works they’re pretty amazing. If you hate on it that’s fine that’s your opinion and this is mine. I understand if you don’t like it! But hating on it too much is just.. not gonna benefit you. Thanks for reading :)
