Yalls reaction is either 'its too fast' or 'its slow' i think its neither. Fast would be a one shot, one chapter. Slow would be them getting closer on chapter 30.
Theyre trying to bring up the snusnu tension early so its not like a surprise when they finally do it. It could possibly take a lil while since it seems like there are other forces at play and it might disrupt the couple.

Fast and slow has nothing to do with the number of chapters but with how the pacing of the story is done.

You can have a story with 100 chapters that is fast/rushed and a story with 5 chapters that is slow. It depends on the overall plot, how much is happening and how the author decides to portray things in terms of what is and is not happening in a certain timeframe.

    Yes yes i know
Im referring to the usual 'fast paced' japanese mangas since they usually update every month (and so they have to cover more of the plot)(except for skip beat which is taking its sweet time) vs webtoon or manhuas that update every week or so. For a manga reader its fine, for a webtoon/manhwa reader its too fast.

The thread was more about the pacing of the story, not the release time tho. Hence my comment. XD
The time of updates doesn't matter tbh, it really all depends on the content of the story more than anything else. So people complaining about not getting a release quick enough really gotta chill.

Skip Beat is btw a VERY misunderstood comic.
The romance is NOT the focus despite people demanding that being the case. It is actually third in line.
er getting her revenge on her ex and overcoming her trauma all come WAY before the romance aspect. The romance is just the cherry on top that comes alongside/after the trauma being overcome. Which the author made very clear in the first chapter, so I still found it confusing that people complain about the pacing. Sure, her romance isn't making progress but her trauma and revenge are coming along VERY neatly. Plus, it's a realistically paced comic so people really need to learn to be patient or just NOT read stories that are not about romance to begin with. XD

Unrelated to the webtoon,,, but aside from romance,,,, wasnt even referring to the romance in skip beat, but the pacing of the first hundred chapters compared to the ones now... It feel like a webtoon at this point, the scenes feels stretched out,, i didnt go into it because of the romance but because of kyoko and her charming self. Couldn't care less if she ends up with sho or ren or no one. Its more on the acting and romance era now-- but seriously the pacing/direction is definitely different now.

I see! Mostly when people talk about Skip Beat people are referreing to the romance 'not being quick enough', so I thought that was what you reffered to. Sorry about that. :'D
The current happenings ARE more hectic because they are busy with stuff compared to the early chapters. So that's only natural. Especially during filming parts; that shit is hectic and chaotic as all hell. XD
I went into it too for her being such an interesting character! :D And well, the revenge and comedy aspect was impressive. All in all it's a very non-cliche story, so I adored it right away. (Too bad they only turned it into a small anime, not doing the whole plot as they do wih most other comics like One Piece and Naruto and so on - I would have adored that.)

All I hope is that the author doesn't get impatient/bored or gets pressured by anyone to hurry up and get to the next arc. That would ruin the comic entirely.

Sadly i feel like the author isnt into it anymore/ busy with something, obviously since its been couple of years since. I really loved tokyo crazy paradise and the action there and i miss the lil demons of kyoko ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ we still have the kuon arc of his past to go thro

Yep josei manga lovers are thirsty and hungry for josei adaptations or 2nd seasons, we barely get a few animes per season (tho this season theres like some good ones)

True, that happens alot. Bleach was a perfect example for that (it was very obvious the ending wasn't well planned and rushed in a half-assed way, such a shame).
I would be happy if authors did sideprojects to keep their interest going. That might help avoid the issue of getting bored.
    I really hope things don't turn boring/rushed when the Kuon arc comes around. I am SO very interested in that boy's past. He needs healing equally as much as Kyouko. Maybe more, with that 'unalived friend' issue he blames himself for. ;v;

They REALLY need to make more adaptations. I'm more into action and fantasy but I love me some fluffy love sometime inbetween. And there is SO many good source materials. Too bad there seems to be a lack of interest from the studios' side. ╥﹏╥
