It's so horrifying. It makes me think of Maxi in Under the oak tree, (Spoiler !!! But in there Riftan well... he took care of things reaaal good. I hope it will be the case in this story too).

I'd say the manhwa depicts this scene much better than the novel.
The novel made it more like casual everyday abuse but the manhwa really shows the emotions ruby goes through in this situation
I love it and it makes me look forward to the slight changes of the manhwa
