The Duke doesn't get involved with Leyla until she's an adult, yes he does coerce her using his status and power but he doesn't get involved with her until she's an adult
I actually enjoy this one! I believe ml being a jerk/red flag/red button/rhinoceros etc is what's the plot is all about and I'll be patient enough to see him go through a redemption acr.
