The instance with the brother or the carriage has nothing to do with women's rights or her upbringing. It's almost like she literally doesn't have any survival instincts. Usually people would make an effort to you know avoid being in the same room as their abuser or at least keep someone in the room with them bcs you know susceptible danger, that's what I would have done. The carriage incident was so fucking predictable. All her enemies are in position of power to do something like that. Again no one but her maid was with her.
