That's not hypocritical. Hypocritical would be being into age gaps but condemning this story for having one. Taking issue with an aspect of the story but still reading it isn't hypocrisy, it's just having a nuanced view of it. I say this as someone who enjoyed the story
It is hypocritical though despite you already know it's tagged "Age gap" and continue to read it then say that it's weird. Like what do you expect on an Age gap stories age gap like 3-5years lmao. Age gap stories are mostly 5-10+ years gap. That's not nuanced thing, that's straight up hypocrisy.
No, that's not hypocritical. Knowing there'll be certain elements of a story you won't like but still reading the story isn't hypocritical. Yeah there's an element of "what did you expect?" but that's not hypocrisy. Like I said, for someone who dislikes age gaps to be hypocritical they'd have to actually like age gaps while saying they don't.

Please it's really annoying how some comments saying they feel uncomfortable etc coz of the age gap like what do you expect in a story that is tagged "Age gap". So many people are hypocrite here. Stop reading "Age gap" story if you find it uncomfortable! Even though this story didn't sexualized minor the readers still react like it is. Dude the cop was never there when he grow up nor did he have the intention to wait for him to be in relationship. It just happen that he comes in his view ,admire him then start to feel affection.
