I understand your perspective, and it's true that relationships can develop unexpectedly, just as they did in the story. Ash and Karlyle faced various challenges, including their alpha status and social responsibilities, which they had to navigate together.
The author does leave some room for readers to interpret how the couple overcomes these obstacles, allowing us to fill in the details. It's possible that upon re-reading, you might discover more depth and nuance in the story that you initially missed.
So, I would suggest giving the story another chance and approaching it with an open mind. You might find hidden layers and appreciate the characters' journey even more. Happy reading! ヾ(☆▽☆)

Even tho i love this story i can kinda feel your perspective though, this story actually has quite plot holes, some characters are not fully developed (Ash is a great example of this as he’s a ML but we don’t have enough of his POV to clearly see his character development, even in the novel if you don’t read thoroughly you might think he wasn’t having any character development at all), some problems are handled kinda poorly and more. Do i love their romance journey or the characters themselves? Yes. But do i love everything that the author put in this story or the way she develop and build up things? No, not entirely. She would have handled things better and give her characters mote spaces. Still it’s a nice read to me and the couple is the main reason i choose to stay up till now

Oh! It came from a novel!
And it kinda sucks there's no POV for Ash even there. Would like to get know him more as a character too.
The characters are pretty ok! No-brainer, I love a guy in BL who's physically very expressive with his partner. And i love that Lyle and Kyle have been nothing but loving and supportive of each other. But the story feels meh. IDK. Let me know. Maybe the novel makes it more exciting? Maybe it's just the manhwa that makes it seems a bit flat? Sometimes it happens.

The manhwa actually cut out kinda a lot of scenes from the novel, especially in season 1 they even cut the whole of Ash’s POV, some details are also been cut off through out the remaining seasons. I think she did better adaptation in season 3 tho (even tho the scene when Lyle talked to his mom at the engagement party was kinda rush), it’s a bit slow, but I would rather it like that than the “fast and furious” in season 1 where volume 1 is the longest volume in the novel.
And yes if you have time please consider taking a look at the novel because it has more details and depth in there (still it hasn’t satisfied my hunger ), we also have plenty of Ash’s POV in there too (I need more of his POV). If you want to read the novel you can contact “the.road.to.enternity” on instagram they’ll give you the link
This is cute and all but it feels a little too flat for me...
Not that I'm dropping reading this, since i read till chapter 77 just to see if it'll get a bit more of a kick...
But i feel like compared to the other stories out there, while it's cute and all, it feels boring, reads like teen angst and feels stupid at times ( ̄へ ̄)
Like... Karlyle's eternal internal monologue not only reads something like the fanfics i read as a teen but it also never endsssssss(/TДT)/
And their conflict before becoming couple... IDK man. I get that the conflict was their feelings weren't at each other's level but the way everything was set up from the beginning, I honestly feels like it didn't sit well with me. It felt like a last minute idea or a poorly built up conflict. Like... With the way Ash has been acting before the confession, I was more surprised and confused how HE'S the one whose feelings needed catching up to do... AND HE DOESN'T SEEM ANY DIFFERENT AFTER GETTING TO TOGETHER FOR REAL NOW
IDK. Plus the sex scenes too. Like the flirting and kissing = Hot but then the sex feels like meh. I think it's the angles the artist chose. It didn't feel like their bodies were connected. All i keep seeing was zoom ins of their faces and weird angles. Not so much of a connection down there.
Overall...
Would i read it again? No.
Would i finish reading it? Yeah sure but wouldn't really be running to read it.
Would i read the scanlation of Kyle and Nick's story if i saw it? Maybe. And I'd def recommend reading it first than this because this def screams sequel even tho there's nothing before it.
