I like Aiden as a character, but I really don't like the power imbalance between him and Selena, I also really don't find it romantic that he chooses her over his education as a sorcerer...
He's obviously end game, so I just hope it'll be handled well. I don't like subservient MLs if they're actual servants, it's kinda gross
