The Truman show is one if those old movies, we're a boy since his birth was kept on an island and his life was filmed for the world too see. Everything around was a set, and people he knew were actors, but of course the boy a.k.a. Truman did bit know this. The way that they kept Truman on this "island" was by making him go through a traumatic experience when he was younger which was his father dying at sea, during a storm, now giving him a fear of water, which the island is surrounded by. As the movie progresses on, the now adult Truman Is questioning the things and people around him. Little things happen here and there and randomly he sees the father, who he thought was dead, again only for a few minutes before actors came and carried him away. I'll leave at there for now, I highly suggest watching the movie. It's kind of confusing at first, but rewatching it helps. I forgot the message they were trying to portray- but yeah. Hope this helps some of you!

Was this a real happening(like a documentary) or was truman also an actor and is really just a movie with that kind of plot? Cuz if it’s real, imagine the trauma he had. ╥﹏╥

It's just a movie. Jim Carrey plays Truman.
