He regains his memories and so he remembers that the ML killed the village of doctors. The ex boyfriend was his kind of child hood love, he is also a doctor. The ex is the one who left the village to go and be a prostitute so that he could have an establish reputation as a doctor, and broke the MC's heart so that he wouldn't have to do that kinda stuff with him.
