Before her recarniation, she well-versed in the empire's politics, basically the brain of the empire. She did everything to pleased her mother and brother, she did everything to help her brother descend the throne even if it means committing horrible acts to achieve it. The prince (her brother) was a cold blooded tyrant. Our Mc was forced into the dungeon, her limbs and tongue were cut off. She was rescued by the duke (mL) and he begged her to use her knowledge for the sake of the empire and form a rebellion. Our Mc decided to turn back time last second using her own blood to draw a magic circle. She ended up taking the female lead's destiny of marrying the duke. Noted that the female lead of the story is not the Mc but a saintess that's plays a role in being the duke's lover but due to political reasons, she had to marry the prince and died in the palace because of a sickness. Only after our Mc turned back time did she unintentionally went down the female leads destiny. Our Mc had no grudge but trying to repent for her previous action by turning back time. OH and I believe her hair color was light blonde whereas her mother is silver.
