I think another reason why kirishima was able to “cheat” so easily was because he doesn’t see him and yoshino as fiancés. HEAR ME OUT- Kirishima is such a strict rule follower. I was thinking how odd it is that he who upholds all this promises, always stays true to his word, completes even the minuscule necessities, he doesn’t skip school, gets good grades, makes sure to wear a suit to every job no matter what, he follows orders. If this guy is such a religious follower to structure, why is he cheating while he’s engaged to someone??? Wouldn’t that type of person follow the usual promise of a romantic relationship? THATS BECAUSE HE DOESNT BELIEVE THEY ARE. HE ONLY SEES IT IN NAME AS A FRONT IN REALITY HE ONLY BELIEVES HES HIRED BY RENJI AND THIS IS AN ORDER FROM GAKU. That’s what he sees it as. Have you ever noticed him call her his fiancé?? Like only one time. Once. But now that they’re bf and gf he’s really showing it off. I guess since he finally TRULY recognized he has feelings for her he wanted to get in a relationship not made by contract. Now I don’t know how he’s gonna act now that they’re dating but I’m assuming hes gonna stop getting with girls for his advantage.(since that pretty much the only reason he did sleep with people) unless Yoshino permits it

No, Renji said to send her back and break the engagement off if he ( Kirishima) does not want to put his life on the line for her. Since if he’s not able to do that then he wouldn’t be able to properly protect her. And told him to come up with a way to get her to go back to get it done. Which means that( this is only a theory) all the talk that he was bored of her and her only worth was as a prostitute in the beginning was overly exaggerated because he didn’t “fall” for her and in return wouldn’t be able to give his life for her. I feel like kirishima isn’t the type to have types. So that “I want a selfish stuck up girl” I feel was bs and another persona he put on to divert her away… part of it was truthful in a way though. She’s been his friend goal since he was a child, I don’t think he would lose interest that quickly. it just didn’t go as he expected since he never had a real friend before and her being acquainted with his nice persona wasn’t going well for him per say, he gave up and kept his end of the deal thinking it wouldn’t progress from there, though he didn’t know her then. I don’t think he ever disliked her. HIS CHARACTER IS SO INTERESTING AND I WANT TO GO ON AND ON BUT MY INCOMPETENT BRAIN WONT LET ME

Yes and I also think the reason why he’s so devoted on her and why he fell for her is because of what his great uncle said. He said that his friend was Renji and pretty much (not intentionally lol) put it into Kiri’s mind that his only possible friend would be (HOW DID I FORHEY HER NAME THIS QUICKLY I JUSY FINISHED READING THIS OMG). Her, mc. And kiri the unique learning human being he was stuck onto that. I’m sure he met many people, many girls. Many of them were just like mc, but I think he only makes connections to people he needs/uses or believes is necessary. No relationships.. emotionally atleast. I think some of his relationships he keeps up is just because of society because you’re “supposed” to have them. He said it himself he doesn’t fully trust ANYONE, he’s just upholding his human imagine and using his connections (Jesus I’m making this man sound like an alien.. it’s such a tricky topic to talk about, I’m still learning about him too) (Of course lust is a need too, which really shows because he hasn’t once tried to advance sexually on mc.) That’s just the type of person he is, and the “only” person in his mind (definitely has relationships such as family but they’re just different to him, idk we’re still figuring it out lol. He’s so interesting) that he has learned and allowed the possibility of a closer friendship relationship is mc. It’s like that’s his reality, his rule. If that makes sense at all Which is maybe why it could’ve only developed for her. Probably. Maybe. Aghh my brain is so foggy. Sorry if this is all confusing, it’s sure as hell confusing me lmao. So hard to get my point across haha

I love that mc has not fallen for him yet. We’re still figuring him out as a person. He’s still finding out who he is as a human. Understanding himself, understanding the world and others. SO FOOKING. COOL.

This is actually a good analysis of Kirishima. Though he still won't be the green flag ML that everybody wishes him to be to be "deserving" of Yoshino, it is true that he has a complex character buildup and he is who he is. His character is nicely done for me, he is not a 1 dimensional character. He was made in a way that the readers want to know more. And that plot twist where it was shown that the reason they started on a wrong foot was because he "overly" made a reason to make Yoshino go back to Osaka makes sense to me now as well. lol. TBH, when you think of it, it is the ONLY time where he acted terrible towards Yoshino. After that incident, he really tried to get close to her.

I read this again after reading the latest chapter and it kinda stings a bit when Yoshino always think that he will kill her. He is always saying "what?", "is that what you think?". I mean, Kirishima is so whipped for her. I honestly can't wait for the the development of their relationship now that they are bf/gf.

I look up the last raw chapter for this volume and man, I got all giddy at the end. (⌒▽⌒)

Dude yes I completely agree with your comment thank you. And also I think the way to enjoy this manga is to accept that kirishima is not a green flag and will never be hes fucking crazy. But a really entertaining character to unfold. So we just have to watch who he will become. This is not a normal relationship.
