I don't know if you read remarried empress but I believe is gonna be a similar timeline, the reader already knows what is going to happen but the story is more about how it get there and then you'll see the after
I know it's gonna go that way, but the past started too late. They showed too much of the current time, so now I only wanna see that and not whatever led up to it. Basically it was set up a bit clumsily. In Remarried Empress it actually works
Because in Remarried Empress it's just a brief glance into the future, not even a full chapter.
No, I checked again, it's half a chapter here too, why is it so different? I think it's because RE is storyboarded like a trailer, but in this it's a full scene, where she finally breaks up with him, but that would've been more satisfying if it didn't play out in it's entirety in the first chapter.
Maybe it was also fine in RE because I reached that point in the story quickly since many chapters were already out and this time I have to wait way longer for it to finally happen...
Honestly I don't feel it that different from RE, well I did started it early on, maybe the pacing is slower here... I do wish to see her giving up her position faster lol, I didn't hate soveshit this early as I hate this emperor
I want to get back to the part where she leaves for good! This kinda feels like a looooong flashback because the author decided to start the story this way
