Tbf it doesn't seem that much like bait because I'm like that with my friends too and it's strictly platonic.
Also the male lead here is perfect so for once I don't mind

Me as a GL fan try to find the faintest GL bait interaction possible, since there won’t be a story like this for GL fans.
A GL manda with this kind of story and beautiful art is going to be hard to come by….sad
