pls i hate how insufferable both the characters are
mingwa's head is still stuck in those times. what a waste of good art. and she even had a better project going on: the secret superstar one. she apparently abandoned that because she hated it. why, was it too healthy for her liking?
Some of us DO like meek, weak, tender ukes—however, I do think this story has plateaued too long in both plot and character behavior with both leads. That does it mean that those types of ukes aren’t a good read. I personally like extreme opposites with the uke being nearly helpless. Dan is just, sadly, too stupid and gullible. Lots of good richly-written meek characters have shined out there in BL-land.
don't get me wrong, i do too. i especially love it when they're pure/innocent and sometimes clueless and even meek (because they're v relatable) but what Dan is, is just a doormat.
I'll actually need recs because this BL is starting to ruin that trope for me
i swear i thought we left this pitiful breed of ukes back in 2010 BLs. seriously? he dropped a can of coke on your head and told you to get the fuck out of his sight and all you can think of us how much jaekyung is suffering? oh my god
