I think stuff like that is easy to say from an outside perspective, but I think Seoyu's just in that sort of mindset of "this is all I deserve". I think Seoyu realises deep down that his relationships are toxic but ultimately won't fix them because he thinks so low of himself. We've seen him be like that time and time again, especially in regards to his relationship with Seonghoon (were he doesn't wanna believe that Senghoon could be interested in "someone like him"). In the end, it's a self esteem and confidence issue. I think once he starts to respect himself more, we'll see him finally start cutting some people out of his life.
How did Seoyu even keep Wonjo as his "friend" all this time when even Seoyu was continuously irritated by Wonjo's words and behavior? I just don't understand. Okay "toxicity is all he ever know because that's what surrounds him all this time" true that, but even so, isn't it common sense to distance yourself from things that pissing you off constantly? Like I kind of get it about the uncle, since that is his only "family" left but he doesn't even have to keep someone who constantly cynical and ill-intentioned like Wonjo around. Even some of his co-workers are better than him, Seoyu could have choose them as friends instead
