Take a break and read some short 5 chapter manga
I have this impression too. Personally, I think it's around 70% of romances. Still, there are some in which plot just starts around 40th or 50th chapter.
I feel like most manhwa that start out with interesting/distinct storylines become more bland once the couple gets together. The plot becomes more about fan service and the characters' personalities are toned down. For me, 90% of stories become less distinguishable after chapter 30 or so.
