I'd like to add something for people who, like me, see a problem in green-flagging TJ (since I see green and rape as incompatible, green and controlling too) : I'd like to clarify that simply appreciating his character doesn't mean denying that's he's toxic/red/orange flag. Appreciating TJ doesn't mean condoning his acts.
Also, I'd definitely like not to have to read violent comments (I've seen a bunch both from ppl normalising toxicity and people criticising it) from the "softer" insults of stupid or braindead to harsher ones.
conversely, reminding that TJ committed this or that bad action (r*pe, isolation) doesn't necessarily mean hating TJ.
I've written such reminders on some occasions because I feel it helpful to correctly define toxicity, but I don't hate TJ I find his character super intriguing, and from a number of chapters ago the story can both make me smile and facepalm at times
Real. coming from someone who likes Taeju.. it's hard to deny his actions when it's that obvious who's stupid enough to deny that?
though RIGHT NOW he's trynna change his shitty attitude towards the mc, give him a chance. and him acknowledging Euihyun's feelings already in s2 is a plus for me, also I like that he never hits Euihyun, him, Taeju sons of gangsters- who kills with his his bare hands yet he just lets Euihyun beat the shit out of him every time so. heh(▰˘◡˘▰)
Ikr. I was really getting pissed with how people were literally getting hated on for saying they might give taeju a chance again or that they like him. People are obviously gonna have different opinions about taeju. What you should not do is hate on them or put them down for not having the same opinion as you. I've gone through a shit load of bl and taeju is most definitely isn't the worst one out there. He definitely isn't the best and he pisses me off most of the time with his actions and possessiveness but knowing that he's definitely going to end up with euihyun, I'm willing to give him a chance to at least make euihyun and his little brother happy.

Taeju is a toxic person and I’m pretty sure the majority of people who likes taeju is due to his non toxic side not his toxic side.
Yes he’s a rapist. Yes he’s controlling and manipulative. Yes he deserves to be separated from euihyung. Yes deserves jail time (and it would be great if that ever happens to a yaoi story). But we all know that just like with love is an illusion, the MC is gonna end up with the top and from now on he’s in his character development phase (like a lot of yaoi tops) so we’re probably going to see more of non toxic taeju (hopefully).
He’s an unredeemable character but people should be able to still like him without getting any black lash.
I still don’t like seungho from Painter of the night (and i believe nakyum has Stockholm syndrome) but I’m not going to comment on my hate (due to his past) for him with every new update or come out and attack people who do . Seungho has changed for the better and that all that matters for POTN since we’re so far from his toxic ways,
Also the people who hate the father of the brother, y’all need to understand that the father was right about adopting the brother. You should only hate the father if he prevents euihyung from seeing him.
