Honestly, the only way I can rationalize it is that the white haired snake ass backstabber completely wrecked up MC's straightforwardness and confidence, the more she found out abt his true nature and the way he kept making snide ass remarks of "justification" to emotionally manipulate her. Honestly we're seeing the ragged version of MC rn after everything that white snake did...him basically gaslighting her that her nation's downfall, her death, and armys betrayal was all her fault for being too loyally blind to her nation... WHEN WE ALL KNOW THAT WHITE SNAKE DID IT
character development rlly went backwards,( hoping it's a case of it getting worse before better) but at least she no longer sees Duke as purely the nation's enemy at battlefield.

It'd be a good thing if she could meet her comrades at least so as to reassure her that there are people who don't blame but believe her. On the other hand, I really ship her with Zed so it'd be nice if she and her comrades could come to a compromisation of sorts so that she ends up with him. She's really conflicted about her feelings now. It'd also be nice if she can be good friends with Claurence (or whatever her name was) as she is a good ally. Seriously, it (plot) needs to get moving.
