south korea is still technically at war with north korea
One of my friend told me it's for them to be prepared in case something happened.
Yes after the training, they will eventually go on with their lives, but if suddenly war is happening (u Never know), then they will already know how to fight and be in the front line
but what about the girls?
The girls also can do military services but that not mandatory cmiiw
Women are not required but some of them do volunteer to pursue career in military.
Just asking cause I'm just curious, What's the purpose of the military thingy in korea??
