The only entrance is shut atm and as far as I understood it is being barricaded by the esters outside the gate so they won’t get out from the inside unless someone outside opens it up again (hence we are waiting for our seme now to do that). So really the only option they have is wait it out in there and of course everyone would run from some morphing monsters
He didn't just wait though and he wasn't running away to a safe hiding spot or to the door. He was running straight INTO the monster. He was close enough that the thing grabbed his short hair. Do you know how close you have to be for someone to do that when your hair is that short?
