The saddest thing is that the ml did everything for the mc like saving him from the bandits piggybacks him in the desert just to find that bridge or something that can heal someone's illness idk, and after the mc died ml revived him from the help of that prostitute's(that villain who bully mc) brother, ml even gave his eyes because the mc become blind, but the mc choses to remarry because he was manipulate.
Sorry if i burst the bubble. But i may answer few questions. (Long post)
1- xingxu didn't manipulate liqing to marry him. Liqing's lost memories but at the same time he didn't fake anything. He was just have child like memory but his trauma still remain. Xingxu still pursue liqing even he said he only love him as brother. Only 1 time he did mistake when they already married, the bad guy (forgot name) suggesting hypnotic on liqing. Unfortunately before they slept together, liqing woke up and xingxu realize his mistake and didn't force him anything. He just wait him until he died.
2- Qiyu is stupid enough to kidnap liqing from xingxu. Atm liqing was dying and he drag him to the dessert in hope to find the cure. They was chased by the bandit, drink blood etc bcause Qiyu stupidity. Xingxu already searched the plant like crazy so he know that it won't be there. Liqing could live longer if Qiyu didn't drag him here and there in dying state. So this scene tbh very stupid to me.
3- about how he try to revive uke. No it's not Qiyu who revived liqing. It's xingxu. Qiyu only send liqing corpse to preserve at the mountain and xingxu find the method to revive liqing from death.
4- qiyu might sacrifice his eyes and give to liqing but he got his sight back by taking the new pair of eyes from dead army. But xingxu gave his life and soul to liqing. He gave all his pills and exotic plant to liqing. Unfortunately it makes his body weaker and dying. Imagine if he didn't give those to liqing, do you think liqing and qiyu could still be lovey dovey at the end? What author wrote is very unfair and bias to xingxu. Worst ending ever

Yeahh.. even i read the novel hundred times, i still can't bring myself to like this mfker Qiyu. Idk wth author make xingxu good in everything but kill him mercilessly at the end while that bastard Qiyu got happy ending... I really hate liqing for this! He's so selfish!

I don't want to read this anymore I've read the Nobel and it pisses me off, it's a long way to go before they fckn end up and so many things happened like uke losing his memories and marry another man and the chaos, and when that other man show his dark and evil side THE UKE STILL WANTS TO BE WITH HIM!! Like bro he literally manipulate you just because mc loses his memories and doesn't want to be with ml that other man propose to mc to wed with him!! Brooo this is fcked up I can't anymore.
