I won´t deny that I liked it, it has an interesting history, charming characters, and to be based on Japanese society fairly gender equality ...

BUT...

...What I did not like is that they surrender easily to gender prejudices, regardless of whether it is true or false. Because there will always be weaker or stronger people, both physically and mentally, regardless of gender.

But they assume that girls are ALWAYS weaker, and that they should not even try, just to be content with a happy and easy life of skirts and love. And what bothers me the most is that they doesn´t understand the true meaning of sexual identity (Or at least I think so).

Currently the only person who has the right to decide your own gender, and your tastes is the same (both in this manga and in real life), but in this manga surrendered to everything. If you do not like your gender, you can have surgery to change it, but the decision you have to take it for yourself, not the others for you.

And another thing I hate, is that since now you are a girl you should be interested in the boys, and vicebersa ... For these things I prefer the yuri and yaoi, the shoujos; Always use the excuse of "I love you as a man" and vice-president. So it does not matter what a person is, as long as it is your opposite gender is what it means. And what if the gender of that person changed, would you stop loving it?

Okay, I'm missing the point, what bothers me is that I like this manga, but that manga is so lightly taken on topics as sexual identity, sexual orientation, love, and submission to social prejudices.

Now it is harder to change gender, and people try harder, of course everyone would be happier if they surrender (︶︿︶)=凸, so there would be no problems, but ... It would betray yourself and end up doing a lot more damage.

Lots of text and youre probably right on most parts.
But you still have to think about that japans society is very different and how the Author and Editor want the story to be.

I stopped thinking too much into the characters behavior regardless how i like them or not.
    Its just wasted breath.

I know they are different ... What bothers me is that they give up easily, and put it as a
    moral of a fable.

Well you can't forget they are children. You probably weren't very different in that age. I for sure wasn't.

In that age I think many thinks, like mangas, anime, Why i don´t have friends?, Why my classmates are so mean with me?, What is yaoi and yuri? maybe is interesting i going to see... (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
About my sexual identity, and my genre, well... even when I was a child (6-12), I had many friends girls and boys for the same, and I like football and stuffed animals... I like trousers and skirts... And my fathers are very free minds... And I came out with a strong build, and I liked to run, but I went to the theater as an after-school activity (I still liked)...
I think I grew up pretty neutral for this gender identities. Honestly, I didn´t give a damn (and I still don´t care) if they confused me for a boy or a girl. Total, you tell them and misunderstanding fixed. I was still me.
(And don´t worry, I graduated some time ago, and I have many friends both inside and outside the Internet)

But not everyone is so strong. Nowadays kids are even more anxious thanks to social media.

Maybe I'm a little impatient, but at this stage society or people will never change ...
So I have the hope that even if they are born in a certain society, and they are raised in a certain way ... They can grow and become whatever they want.
    Even if it's hard ...
That is why I am exasperated by the end of "just accept society and you will have a more peaceful and happy life."
