I love yandere stuff so bad and one of my favorite stories is My Perverted Stalker because it takes itself so lightly and doesn’t try to paint itself as a healthy lovestory. You don’t need to remind us that this is unhealthy but don’t try to allude that it is not.
I agree, it’s like they wanted to gain some sort of justification for the plot. I loved the story, I just don’t think suffering with guilt shouldve been the way it ended after all that…
Yeah.. like I don’t get it. What would him “suffering” everyday do to the actual victims… what was the point of all of that. I felt like the author was just trying to justify his killings and say “guys, he’s not as bad as he seems. He still feels guilty for killing people which is why he’s gonna feel guilty for the rest of his life BUT he’s not gonna turn himself in cuz that would be crazy. He’s just gonna feel guilty abt it and continue his life” which is a weird message trying to convey
But the author tryna too cause s/he badly want that happy justifiable ending where the murder is painted white while the mc is somehow and someway mentally sane lmaoooo
The ending is so bad. Either go all out with the unserious tone and let them be psychos who dgaf abt the victims or actually do a good finale where he goes to prison. It’s okay if you don’t want your manga to be realistic or morally high ground but don’t try to write it off as one when you clearly don’t know what you’re doing.
