Is it bad to be concerned for the other chefs?

I know this is fiction and all, but it seems like he goes way overboard with his perfection? Like as it said, the chefs stayed in the kitchen for well over weeks and slept there just to please him?? That's a violation of laws isn't it??

And don't get me wrong I really love the pacing and the story as well, however what even was the point of the regression or reincarnation?? Because at the start it seemed like he would die of he didn't get a specific number of Michelin stars in a given time frame

    he just regresses to a completely new person in the world if he doesn't reach the stars required and each time he fails the number of stars is increased by like 2 or something

    His perfectionism, jumping from one restaurant to the next and sniping new talent are all for the sake of quickly opening new excellent restaurants and earning more Michelin stars. The publicity and hype are to try and attract inspectors quickly. No doubt once these three places are starred he'll move on to opening/working for the next place.

    I do cringe at how overdramatic some scenes are and I totally agree with you about keeping the chef's there for weeks on end. Pretty sure they'd be so tired by opening night it would end up a total mess in reality, not to mention the legal aspects
