Genuinely speaking, the reason why authors continue to make these types of story is because we pay attention to it despite the fact that it's red flag from day one. If you don't pay attention to these and read and recommend more fluffy ones, they'll naturally turn to those because of popularity. Like how in romance manhwas, a lot of them are transmigrator/reincarnators/second chance in life type because it's what's popular, that's why authors will naturally ride onto that popularity to make their works more popular.
People dont get the beta's character. He fell in love with the alpha as a child and realized that he can only be with alpha as his butler due to his father raising him this way and he is just a beta, this is why he thinks he cannot have a relationship with him other than butler x master relationship. Alpha on the other hand can have anything but the beta he wants. They are both in love since the childhood, they both know each others feelings but cannot act on it. So it gets messy. ALSO beta getting drugged is a big plot spoiler as alpha is investigating the drugs for his business motives and the person who drugs the beta is alpha's omega brother's fiance.
