He is a fraud, his rocky story don't make sense like you said.
He refuse to tell which hospital he was at and "a friend" will introduce him to a good doctor when Daniel offer the same thing. So he refuse to let a doctor he didn't select see his wounds.
He refuse to show his face to Mildred but only until he think his proofs about her jewelry have been accepted.
He gets annoyed by their inquiries.
He only ask how they've been as a general question, never ask how his daughter is doing because he only focus on Mildred.
They expressed that they are suspicious but his only proof is about sold jewelry instead of any intimate or private conversation they may have had.
So far the only things that suggest it could be him is his similar appearance that is conveniently damaged and his story about jewelry that he could have hear elsewhere.
Let's not forget the story of the body that mysteriously disappeared...
To add to that, idk what chapter it was but fred also had a “friend” whom he trusts so much thats why he used almost all their finances investing on businesses that friend suggested.
So it makes sense that this swindler only knew jewelry as “evidence” that he is fred but nothing personal like who his daughter was or actual memorable memories. Its almost confirmed at this point and kinda disappointing lol but im glad the romance between mil and daniel will be unhindered for a while lmao
I don't remember the chapter but there's a scene where they show Fred appearance. He has a long blonde hair with similar color to Ashley. And you wouldn't get injured underwater unless you got bitten by a shark. Ships won't sail on rocky parts of the sea as well.
