I was also starting to think that for some reason; maybe past Taehyuk got kidnapped or something back by the prince which caused a heap of problems, one being the orb that wasn't able to be shared. I reckon Hyo-un was human level weak when past Taehyuk got taken away, maybe that's it?

In the prev season, when the couple was advised they need to stay away from each other so Hyo-un's illness doesn't get worse, what if that's complete and utter bullshit? What if Hyo-un (for some reason that we might uncover this season) wasn't able to let Taehyuk eat the orb in this lifetime so they can share his power? What if Hyo-un is too powerful now because they haven't fully mated yet, and this is causing a strain on his "human" body cause the "vessel" just can't contain too much power anymore? The orb is still with him and haven't eaten by Taehyuk yet. So the solution to the prob we had in S1 is for Taehyuk to eat the orb and share the power, which has become too much for Hyo-un to bear? Gooood I hope that's true! They cannot be separated again
