no let’s be fr. MC isn’t OWED and explanation or anything. and seo shouldn’t feel pressured and forced into explaining something he’s not ready to or doesn’t want to. the brother is a boundary for him, and it’s downright disrespectful and disgusting to go behind your partners back when they’ve expressed a boundary and to exactly what they asked you not to. it’s also wrong to blame your partner for finding out and being RIGHTFULLY upset that you crossed their boundary and didn’t trust and respect them enough to listen.. he doesn’t get to act like he’s the victim in this situation when he went and got intoxicated and ended up in a compromising situation with someone his partner doesn’t like and told him not to meet. he could’ve completely avoided the situation if he listened to seo.
I understand where you're coming from and I don't completely disagree, but trust is a two way street and I think it's reasonable for mc to be doubtful of Seo to an extent, because it comes across like Seo doesn't trust him enough to tell him things and instead just expects him to obey no questions asked. That's not how a healthy relationship works. I'm not saying MC was right to do the one thing Seo asked him not to do, I never said that, I am simply saying that the fault does not lie solely with either of them and they both share responsibility for the current issues. It is also important to note that mc does not act out of malintent, he is genuinely pretty dense and a but stupid which leads to some of these scenarios, but with proper explanation of a reason on Seo's part it probably could have been avoided. Nothing can be resolved without communication, and expecting someone to blindly follow what you ask of them without giving them a reason other than "I said so" and "Just trust me" when it would be just as simple to say "I don't think you're safe around them" or "based on past experiences I need you to be careful" is wild. Again I am NOT saying that mc was right to go behind Seo's back, he should not have and I agree that he shoukd have trusted Seo's word, but given the lack of communication from him it is not unreasonable for mc to be suspicious in a sense.
Everybody is being too hard on the MC imo.. yeah maybe he's a bit dense but also Seo really needs to get better at communication bc a lot of the issues are his fault for not explaining anything and expecting mc to blindly follow whatever he says with no explanation
