I don't think his that rich when he was young
True but he must have been that rich at some point close enough to save him unless they killed the mermaid when they were young and just had his body in a freezer for years. I guess
And I also don't think the mermaid is willing to be captive
It seems that the mermaid knows as well what might happen to him and still choose to live freely in the ocean until he was captured
He was so pretty whyyyyy （/TДT) if you're that rich why didn't you build a salt water pool for him in your home or buy a private beach so he could be safer?! he looks like his fins were like a flying fish
