I really like this story because it's about true and irrational love. I remember reading it years ago right after it was released, and there is just one thing that bother me a lot: this whole "forced marriage to make a heir". He had a son, his wife died, the son is left to his parents. WTF? Poor kid, his mother wanted to give birth even tho she couldn't be a mother for too long but she still wanted to give birth and now the kid is 'momless'. I'm sorry, but I think this is so selfish. And the kid was just a tool for their business??? What if the kid grows up wanting to be anything but the heir? Why can't people adopt????? There are a lot of kids out there, without anyone to call his family, and people still want to get pregnant as if it was the only way to be a parent. It is not.
that's the tradition practiced even nowadays. forced marriage, heir of business, the need of offspring - it's mostly irrational, yet it's reality ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
TBH i thought he was heir to like a big company or even a Yakuza clan. It was just a store like wtf... you could just hire people and be a manager that just oversees the important stuff. Plus, if his parents are fit enough to take care of his child... why can't they run the store?
I think asian culture really make a big deal of an heir with the same blood. It really is toxic and yeah usually its the parents that chose the faith of their child. Wish that this kind of thinking would be removed from the new generation.
