Well he did not really owe her anything. The isakied guy had no ties to her besides that forced engagement. I don’t know if that’s really is betrayal if he does anything against her because he doesn’t owe her anything. was he the one that brought her back to the past? It seems like they didn’t really see each other often.

Please reread it lol Also, it was betrayal because they obviously had something between them. When someone is nice to you, pretends to care and suddenly decides to kill you, it's called betrayal. He planned behind her back and used her vulnerability and trust he built in their relationship to kill her so he could rise in ranks. Their engagement was political on surface, their relationship was REAL.
