We don't know if he cheated though. The dude forced a kiss on him, we don't know if he pushed the guy back or continued it. And IF the Beta cheated in no way or form compares with what the Alfa is doing. The Alfa made his partner feel shitty, alone and less valued, the dude couldn't even give him a proper date. So like???? The beating was soo well deserved.
