This might be about internalized homophobia as well. I am not saying he's not a manipulator / a very possessive friend. I have been in such an exclusive type of friendship, and even without the skinship, only the jealousy it was suffocating !! I believe this story is a '' coming of age + circle of friends '' type of story, i want to see the MC happy as a bird and finding his freedom thanks to his other friends that are going to help him to stay out of the cage ! _ i hope ML can come to his senses as well. But i am more rooting for the MC and his other friends that i like a lot :-) the roommate and the girlfriend are realy nice :-) !!! I like their personnality and i am curious about them and their future role in the story . That's why i am continuing to read this story !! :-)

Someone who actually read the novel said that you don't need to have high expectations from this one cuz it's full of bl's troops if it following the novel. So that's sad

Well idk exactly, they just said that yeonjae was possessive then somewhere in the middle of the novel he realized his feeling and confessed his feeling but mc rejected but anyway in the end mc accepted him. The end.
Now we can pretty much know what the basic structure of this bl is. And I don't think the manhwa is going to be any different from the novel unless some miracle happen.

Also do you also feel a slight change in yaoi manhwas??? Like literally at the beginning it was the hot ,handsome black haired guys was portrayed as a top but now he is being portrayed as the bottom .. I find it kind of unnerving coz I generally love muscular,hot ,black haired top rather than any others..

Well there is a lot of black haired top already so personnally as a blond haired individual i feel good if you tell me blond haired are being portayed also as tops :-D it's a breeze of fresh air for me !! _ otherwise it's quite crazy it feels like blond haired are only allowed to bottom x-) it's not wonderful believe me. It feels like brainwashing at times. Personnally i hate stereotypes : i prefer when litterature and art just give openings rather than conditionning people to be one way or one other. (But yeah i like dark haired characters, dark haired is cool !! )
I prefer green flag tops by the way and bottoms with a backbone i hate pushovers. That's all i want i don't mind the colour. I have followed a collection of non-stereotypical seme and uke recs lists because i am more into diversity than a specific type, and i like to see smaller people with a flamboyant attitude , and the drive and behavior of a top. And muscular people being bottoms for example ! _ i don't know why it's always a dark hair dude x a light hair dude btw _ i find it quite strange (and interesting) coming from countries that have a majority of dark/black haired people ! Now that you are mentioning it. But i feel included as a light haired person so that's nice !
I don't think I mind the colors of the hair as long as its suit the characters. BL such as Guiding hazard and codename anastasia where bottoms have black hair, I really like them. But everyone have their own preference, I guess. For me, I prefer older & mature tops and cute & younger bottoms. But after talking to people I figured out that most of them prefer younger top and older bottom pair. I never liked older bottom & younger top pair (ofcourse there are exception) and now if I start writing why I don't like it, I will probably end with an article about it but anyway in the end it's your preference if you like something or not.
1) me too.. I dislike younger-cuter top and an elder-mature bottom.. I don't know why but I dislike it.. but I certainly don't prefer them... For me the top being the elder and mature is the most accepted with dark hair is like cherry on the top..

At first the ML is a sword expert ,ruler in a quagmire of political crisis or have powers others crave for and he later meets the strong FL and later have children and there is the issue "the child they get " which are most probably Girls or children where there is a girl and a boy amongst them the girl is a swordmaster just like the ML but the boy becomes a painter or a nerdy or literally a flower guy just like his Mother the FL....
I understand S. Korean society just like other Asian Society has a deep rooted cultural issue and that's the male child being more preferred over the female child but we're talking about a fantasy novel or a historical novel based on medieval era with the ML being the strongest and influential but vulnerable due to multiple fronts issues in this era the idea they're pushing is really awkward for me..
The nobles at that period still preferred more children and more manly ones ie. Boys are needed ..

Tbh, till date I only completed one fantasy webtoon (suddenly became a princess one day). To me all the fantasy drama are the same. They have the same story but in a different setting. That why I dropped them. And these type of webtoons always have a European background, castle, costume....like why ? But I digress.
