just found the beginning chapters really confusing. and it didnt helped that the fonts, dialogue are all over the place too (literally) but theyre readable ig. like whats his relationship with auntie. like family? or close older person? r we in a world of test answering? they seem pretty competitive about it. (this universe is probably the most unrealistic sht ive seen)
his aunt is just his aunt, his relationship with his mother is quite awkward since she got a new man. for the test and school stuff, china is just very hard core. same with countries as japan and korea (and honestly everywhere). the whole plot of the story is that they are fake slackers (people who act like they slack but in the end still do what needs to be done). the ticket xie yu fished out of the bag is for the question app and one of the main elements which shows how smart xie yu actually is (in the novel at least).
its been a while since i read the manhua seeing as I just came to check for the comments but the novel itself isnt an unrealistic world at all. its a very down to earth modern day setting novel about 2 dudes in a regular chinese classroom. if you have any interest in reading the original novel I'd be happy to hook you up with the PDF / EBOOK!
