I think the job might be needed to be able to improve the benefits the plants give. It's odd that they already assigned a budget to clear the land to grow them on a large scale when they haven't harvested and tested the trial crop they planted in the tower
Yes, iifc, the benefits became restricted unless it grows and harvest by MC
