Kanna's story is like a sequel of her parent's story .In that story the duke is 2nd ML while her real father is 1st ML. That's why the duke never treat her like his daughter. I think he waiting for her to remember her past life relationship with him. But still we can call it incest since the twins brother doesn't know kanna is not their real sister but still obsess with her. Maybe that's the reason how he become decent ML since he didn't force her like țhe other MLs
The way the duke raise Kanna is like pick up from the river side and toss in the pigpen he never consider her as neither his own daughter nor adopted. By the time Kanna found out he is not her father Kanna is shock but when she ask him about that he is like ' Yes, I am not your father' so what? like he never been a dad to her so it that even surpise?
