Rashta killed her friend that was a slave with her and HELPED her escape. He actual bio father who is responsible for her enslavement is looking for her.im pretty sure she hired a assassin because the trash emperor did the right thing and revoked her ability to punish criminals cause she was abusing the power. It implied by the story and Heinry that Duke Ergy is using Rashta for revenge and getting her to legally sign over property and land to him. That's why he helped Rashta become empress because Navier would be able to stop him and protect her empire.
Im sorry but as much as i remember from novel, Henry has nothing to do with Rashta. Its duke Ergy's personal revenge. The only thing Heinry wanted was all mages of eastern empire to lose mana so thag they wont be a threat for west empire
Duke Ergy is doing it for personal revenge but he did help Heinry. And it's implied that he in the Duke are in communication.
Yes they both are in communication but the only help Heinry got from ergy was to get Navier later the communication between them become as good as nothing

I don't know why but i'm having trouble keeping track of her story, i started it again and that still didn't help(￣∇￣"). Kept feeling like we skipped afew chapters. I didn't remember the slave that "went missing", kept asking myself when did that happen LOL! Okayyyyyy that's why the duke us helping her, makes sense now.
I can't follow the storyline, who did she kill? Who is looking for her? Why was she hiring the assassin? Why is Duke Ergy or whatever, helping her?
